The Planets

As stated in an earlier lesson, planets represent psychological drives, urges, and motivations. They are like verbs in that they describe what action is taking place. Signs are qualities of being, or attitudes toward life. The drive of a planet is expressed through the sign in which the planet is placed along with the sign it naturally rules. Houses are the specific arenas of life where the planets and signs play out their drama. Planets show WHAT is happening, Signs show HOW it is happening, and houses show WHERE it is happening. The aspects show the interplay between the elements of the chart. Like roadways and bridges, the aspects connect the various parts of our chart.

This lesson is concerned only with the Luminaries. But keep in mind that no single element of a chart can function alone.
