Houses 7 through 12

Houses 1-6 are called "personal houses" and are concerned with inner, personal development. Beginning with the 7th house, also called the descendant, we concern ourselves with our relationships with others and the outer world.

Seventh House

The 7th House is about Partnerships and Marriage—how we relate to others on an intimate level.

The 7th house is the polar opposite of the 1st house and is our balancer. In earlier lessons you learned to balance the polar opposites of the signs. In the ascendant/descendant polar opposites, we learn to balance inner awareness of ourselves with our awareness and association with a significant other.
