Visiting our Website

Metastudies.com uses Google Analytics and Cookies in order to improve our service, user experience, and to analyze how the website is used. The collected information is used to provide an overview of how people are accessing and using our website. This data may include your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of your service use. The source of the usage data is Google Analytics. The data is retained for 14 months then deleted automatically.

How we use your Personal Data

Information you have provided us with
This would be your e-mail address, name, billing address, home address, phone number, in some cases birth info for some of our products that require that information. i.e., Astrology reports. We collect this info to process your orders in our store. We may collect information that is necessary for delivering you a product/service or to enhance your customer experience with us. We may save the information you provide us with in order for you to comment or perform other activities on the website. This information includes, for example, your name and e-mail address. We do not share, sell or give this information to others, except where noted for processing order payments.

When you purchase something on our site, we collect personal information from you including your name, billing address, phone number, and the e-mail address to use for order confirmation. Your credit card information is only used for completing the purchase transaction. If you choose to withhold any data requested by us, it may not be possible to gain access to certain parts of our site or to complete a purchase.

How we secure your data

Our website is encrypted over secure HTTPS with an SSL certificate, and all payment information is handled securely by our payment processors, Stripe and PayPal. We use Wordfence on our site to scan for security issues, and its firewall, and other benefits. We use recent stable PHP (a common programming language for website development) versions to assure vulnerability issues are fixed. We regularly update our WordPress and plugin versions to keep our website safe from vulnerabilities. We use strong passwords for our site.

Information automatically collected about you
This includes information that is automatically stored by cookies and other session tools. For example, your shopping cart information, your IP address, your shopping history (if there is any) etc. This information is used to improve your customer experience. When you use our services or look at the contents of our website, your activities may be logged and recorded with the order, i.e. IP address.

Providing Personal Data to Other Entities

Financial transactions relating to our website are handled by our payment services providers, Stripe and PayPal. We will share transaction data with our payment services providers only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing your payments, refunding such payments and dealing with complaints and queries relating to such payments and refunds. Sensitive payment data, such as full card number and security code, is NOT collected or retained by Metastudies Institute. Payment processing for our store is processed through Stripe or PayPal. We do not collect, process, or retain your sensitive payment data. Your credit card info never touches our servers and only non-sensitive info such as last four digits, expiration date, may be returned to us from the payment processor to be held with your order in case you have inquiries about your order. We have NO access whatsoever to your sensitive payment account information when you use our website for orders.

Access to Information

You can access your store account information by clicking on the “Store/Account” option in our menu on our website. Here you can view your order history, and your Account Profile. Account Profile information can be changed or corrected by the user. The information presented in the Store/Account section and in your orders represents all of the user data stored by Metastudies Institute.

If and when available, any other user account non-store area on our website will be available in a login area on the front page. We will update our privacy policy if and when that becomes available. At this time comments are disabled on our site.

Disclosures

Our policy is not to disclose personally identifiable information to unrelated third parties unless required to do so by law or legal process.

You can change the info in your store user account by logging into your account. If you would like to delete your account, you can contact us at info@metastudies.com. You can unsubscribe from our email list from any email that we send out to you,
